  • Contacts have been providing counselling for our pupils for a number of years. The counsellors integrate into school life well and communicate well with the staff. Pupils that use the service report that they find it very helpful and are grateful for the time to talk.

  • We also use the Reflective Practice service for our Well-being Mentors and Designated Safeguarding Leads. This is invaluable to the staff to be able to discuss their cases and process the things they hear in the course of their jobs. I would wholeheartedly recommend Contacts to other establishments.

Whether you’re here representing a school, yourself as a counsellor/therapist or would just like to talk to us, we would love to hear from you. Please do this through our ‘Contact us’ page.

Counselling and therapy is a skilled way of helping children & young people with personal and development issues and difficulties. Counselling/therapy gives individuals an opportunity to explore, discover and clarify ways to live in a more satisfying and resourceful way. It offers children & young people the opportunity to increase their self-awareness, develop their personal resources and understanding of their own problems as well as developing strategies to cope with change.

We aim to link qualified counsellors/therapists, supervisors and schools to provide a competent and efficient counselling service for children & young people. Our vision is to see counsellors/therapists becoming a permanent part of every school setting; and for schools to recognise their value in supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of their whole community.

We currently work with multiple schools and trusts across the Nottingham area. Contacts are members of FSB and the National Counselling Society.
